Life is strictly to be awesome...
I have 1417 friends…. Yet I feel alone…
I speak to many of them everyday… yet none of them really
know me…
The problem I have sits in the spaces between looking into
their eyes or at a name into a screen…
I took a step back and opened my eyes.. I looked around and
realized..
There’s media we call social is anything but when we open up
our computers we don’t realize that it’s the door we shut…
All this technology we have is just an illusion….
Community companionship is just an inclusion…
Actually we too know about it… yet when we step away from
this device of delusion...
You awaken to see a world of confusion…
a world where we are
slaves to the technology we mastered….
A world of self interest, self image, self promotion…
Where we all share our best bits but always leave out the
emotion…
We are at our most happy when we share each experience but
is it the same if no one is there….?
Be there for your friends and they will be there too but no
one will be if a group message will do…
We edit and exaggerate crave adulation…
most of the time we pretend not to notice the social
isolation…
we put our words into order until our lives are glistening…
we don’t even know if someone is listening….
Being alone isnt the
problem anymore….
For instance, if we read a book, paint a picture or do some
exercise, then you are being productive and present: not reserved and recluse…
You will be awake and attentive and putting your time to
good use…
So when you are in public and you start to feel alone, put your
hands behind you head…
Step away from your phone… you don’t need to stare at your
fb or whatsapp…
Just talk to one another, try learning co-existing…
I never can stand to hear the silence of a busy commuter
train where no one wants to talk for the fear of looking insane…
We are becoming unsocial…
it no longer satisfies to engage with one another and look
into someone’s eyes…
we are surrounded by children who since they were born have
watched us living like robots and think its normal…
its not
very likely that you will make the greatest Dad if you cant entertain a child
without using an iPad..
when I was a child I’d never be home…
I’d be out with my friends, roaming around…
I’d wear holes in my trainers and graze up my knees…
We’d create our own games, team up and play with real things…
Now the ground is so quiet that it gives me a chill seeing
no children outside and swings hanging still…
There’s no skipping, no hop scotch, no bunk, no steeple…
We are a generation of idiots smart phones and dumb people…
So look up
from your phone…shut down the display….
Take in surroundings make the most of today…
just one real connection is all it can take to show you the
diff. that being there can make wonders…
be there in the moment that she gives you a look that you
remember forevr that’s when love overtook..
the time when she first held your hand or first kissed your
lips…
the time you first disagreed but still loved her to bits…
the time you take is all you have made just by giving life
attention…
always remember, you will never had any of this times when
you are too busy looking down the phone…
you will never see
the chances you missed right infront of you…
all of us have a finite time in life… a number of set days…
don’t waste it by getting caught in the net…
as the end
comes, nothing worse than regret…
I am also guilty of being part of this machine… this digital
world we are heard but not seen…
Where we type as we talk and read as we chat…
Where we spent hours together without making eye contact…
So don’t give into a life where you follow the hype…
Give people your love
not your ‘likes’…
Disconnect from the need to be heard and defined…
Go out into the world…leave these distractions behind…
Stop reading this blog… live life in the real way…
